Pride

Watching progress in the ways our culture treats queer justice and queer lives has been a lived lesson: transformation happens, hearts and minds CAN change in this country and world, backlash is real, and God stands with the oppressed and seeks liberation. Thank you to my LGBTQ brothers and sisters for the ways you have taught the world about authenticity, radical love, civil rights, the intersections of oppression, and what solidarity looks like. Let’s continue queering church, academia, and the world with leadership from those who have taught us us much and still have so much to teach us. Thank you for letting me walk beside and learn from those for whom these lessons are lived in ways I can’t fathom.
