CYF's theme for July is: BE YOURSELF! This week we're sharing a book by Jaqueline Woodson called "The Day You Begin." Sometimes it can be hard to feel different from other people. We can feel different because of our culture, the way we look, our economic differences, because we are good or bad at something.... there are many ways we can feel like perhaps we don't belong, but it's important to remember that being ourselves is the best way to be! Being who we are helps us to make wonderful connections with others. When we learn to love ourselves and our stories, we learn to help others do the same!
